Headliner Comedian/Actor John Bush  (from Minnesota)

John Bush is a stand‑up comedian and actor known for his energetic storytelling, shadow‑puppet finale, and appearances on HBO, Comedy Central, AXS TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live,” and FOX News’ “Red Eye.”  He has also acted in “Spin City,” “Law & Order: “SVU,” and “The Thomas Crown Affair,” and performed over 2,500 shows of the hit play “Triple Espresso.”

A lively and animated storyteller, John Bush has spent his life on stage making people laugh at him, with him, and thus at ourselves. John’s comedic ‘tool-box’ is filled with impressions, characters, and the ability to connect us all to a moment. Best of all, John ends his show with some of the best shadow-puppets you will ever see. Some of these shadows are down-right ‘cartoony’ and others are eye-catching in how they look exactly like the real animal.

As a child, John moved from Hawaii to Minnesota. When people ask him why in the world would anybody make that move, John answers “Oh, because my entire family is…stupid.” Against that back-drop John had to develop a sense of humor and decided to take up stand-up. His career has taken him to New York where he cut his teeth in one of the world’s strongest comedy scenes. John continues to delight audience across the U.S. and abroad. OPENING COMIC:  KEVIN MATTRAN  (From Lincoln)

Kevin Mattran’s professional comedy career began in 1985 when, after leaving a career as a high school teacher, he joined a group called Class Acts.  He toured with Class Acts performing improvisational and sketch comedy and, with the encouragement of the others in the group, began to work on a stand-up routine.

Mattran spent years touring the national comedy club circuit.  He performed in top clubs like: The Comedy Café (Milwaukee), Jokers (Omaha, Oklahoma City), The Funny Bone (Chicago, Quad Cities, Omaha) and others.  He also taped appearances for HBO and Comedy Central.

Kevin Mattran has focused his comedy work on corporate events, banquets and private parties.  Kevin’s comedy and the corporate market are a perfect fit.  His humor is based on family life, work, and things that most people can relate to and enjoy.  More than that, Kevin knows that an audience doesn’t have to be shocked into laughing by the use of foul language.  His stories are conversational; he speaks to the audience rather than at them.
